Hall, is a Certified Medical Billing Specialist with extensive experience in all aspects of revenue cycle management, practice management, and has over 39 years working in the healthcare landscape.
Winona’s background comes from a long track record of over 30 years of service and experience with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan. Her career blends technical knowledge through IT, and business knowledge through project management. Both skill sets were key in her ability to conduct feasibility studies for potential healthcare applications that would be made available to healthcare providers. This coupled with her experience in working with physician offices and other health care facilities enabled her to deeply understand healthcare from several points of view. Also, while with BCBSM, Winona was one of the original designers, developers, and implementers of the original DENIS application, recognized now as Web-DENIS. The DENIS tool evolved into a highly utilized web based instrument for critical front and back office information and more. And, is being used in many physician offices, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities throughout Michigan and beyond.
Winona belongs to a number of networking organizations and has served as Vice President of her Business Network International (BNI) chapter. She works as a liaison for several of her clients in resolving complicated insurance issues. Her clients rely on her to be their trusted authority on many healthcare matters. Winona’s wide-ranging IT background is behind her thorough understanding of the claims processing systems in place today, as well as, the horizons of tomorrow.
